The Aquasana AQ-5200 water filter offers excellent filtration through a simple and compact mechanism that can be quickly installed in an under sink space. It utilises the best Claryum filtering technology to improve the taste and odour of water while simultaneously removing a huge range of contaminants including Chlorine, Lead, Asbestos and Pesticides.
The AQ-5200 is a very compact filter, which allows it to be installed in even the smallest of under sink spaces. It is supplied with a mounting bracket, supply line, T-fitting, nickel tap, colour coded tubing, 1 set of filter cartridges and a detailed instruction guide. Altogether the setup process should only take 20 - 30 minutes and depending on your plumbing abilities, you may be able to install it yourself.
*Please note that when installing this system you should use the plastic T-Fitting provided.
The latest filters used in the AQ-5200 have been perfectly designed to deal with a large amount of common and uncommon water contaminants. They use Claryum selective filtration technology, which works in a 3 stage process, starting with carbon processing and moving onto ion exchange and sub-micron filtration. Altogether this process works perfectly to reduce odour, improve taste and preserve healthy minerals such as calcium, potassium and magnesium.
Within the AQ-5200 each filter offers a different role and therefore, each removes different water contaminants. The first filter is mainly involved with carbon processing and it focuses on removing:
Additionally to this, the first filter also works to reduce any water odour and removal of these contaminants already has a notable impact on taste. The 2nd filter then filters through ion exchange and sub-micron filtration to remove:
For years replacing filter cartridges in home water filters has been a guessing game and it has always been up to the user to keep track of the amount of time the filter has been installed for. Therefore, the AQ-5200 uses a smart detect system to take that pressure away by beeping when the filters are performing below acceptable levels. This makes it easy to know the perfect time for a filter change.
On average, the filters last 6 months or 500 gallons depending on consumption, however, the filtration system will indicate when it requires a filter change.
