The Oscar brand has grown incredibly strong in recent years and this model succeeds the Oscar VitalMax 900 and the Oscar Neo DA-1000. The Oscar juicer is a very compact and versatile juicer which rotates at 63-75 RPM meaning that you get high quality cold pressed juice which is extremely nutritious as well as having exceptional yield meaning dry pulp being ejected from the juicer.
The Oscar DA-1200 comes fully equipped with a 5 staged adjusting pressure regulator meaning that if used correctly you can adjust the setting to give you the maximum juice yield for this product. The different settings are listed below:-
Setting 1-2 is used for soft fruit and vegetables such as tomatoes, kiwi’s, grapes and oranges
Setting 3 is used for medium fruit and vegetables such as cucumbers, apples, carrots and broccoli
Setting 4-5 is used for firm fruit and vegetables such as spinach, kale, wheatgrass and beetroot
Please note that if the produce is too soft and the setting is too high then this can cause clogging of the unit.
By adjusting the settings above you are able to optimise the settings for the type of produce you are juicing and therefore, you have the ability to increase the yield.
The Oscar DA-1200 also comes with a homogenising screen sometimes known as a blank screen. Having this accessory gives you the option of making frozen desserts such as ice cream, frozen sorbets, pasta and baby foods.
The Oscar DA-1200 is made from BPA-free materials.
What is the difference between the Oscar Neo DA-1000 and Oscar DA-1200?
The Oscar DA-1200 comes with a brand new design so this will look much better placed in a modern kitchen. Aside from looks, the the Oscar DA-1200 has a much greater feeding chute which minimises preparation time. The juicing screen has also been improved allowing for a better yield and less clogging in the juicing screen and this in turn gives a better juicing experience. The design has also been made simpler as there are two less parts within the model and this will help shorten the cleaning process.
